The diet Dukan: what is? It has been a bestseller in France for years, but now the Dukan diet attracts worldwide attention. It is no wonder: the book claims to have helped 5 million French to lose weight. The model Giselle Bundchen and singer Jennifer Lopez have also lost weight after her pregnancy with the Dukan diet. The Dukan diet was created by French physician Pierre Dukan more than 10 years as a treatment for obese people. It essentially has four phases of high protein and low calorie diet. No weigh food or count calories.

Eat whatever you want, at any time of the day provided that you are eating lean protein, at least initially. In fact, protein is the centerpiece in four phases, along with the oat bran, plenty of water and a daily walk of 20 minutes. Vegetables are allowed in the second stage, followed by small amounts of fruits and whole grains. Sounds familiar? It is very similar to the first Atkins diet. People who make diet lose weight quickly as much as 1 kg per day during the first phase that Dukan says that he helps instill the motivation the rest of days. He promises that hunger will disappear after the third day. However, the book warns that the diet can suffer from bad breath, constipation, dry mouth and fatigue all the consequences of diets low in carbohydrates and high in protein.

Diet Dukan: what can eat stage 1, attack, is very simple: eat everything you want of lean protein, along with 1.5 tablespoons of oat bran and 1.5 litres of water a day. That’s all. People that dieters can choose between 72 meat lean or low in fat (pork and exclusion of lamb), fish, birds, eggs, soy, and dairy products without fat. Then phase 2, cruise, which allows an unlimited amount of 28 non-starchy vegetables every two days along with a diet based on unlimited lean/protein low in fat and 2 tablespoons of oat bran.
